History of David Wilson Homes

David Wilson Homes was founded in the 1960s, when David Wilson started working at his father’s joinery workshop and gradually moved the business into housebuilding. David Wilson had run the business for forty years and experiments were made to ensure a controlled succession. However, in April 2007, just ahead of the next housing recession, the company was sold to Barratt Developments for £2.2 billion. Wilson Bowden, based in Ibstock in Leicestershire, was formed in 1961 by Albert Wilson. In 2020, Barratt Developments set science-based carbon reduction targets as well as making a commitment to build zero carbon homes from 2030 and become a net zero business by 2040. Unfortunately this is upset us but David Wilson compensated us with free fitted wardrobes and helping us with the garden levelling. Commercial construction

Central to Barratt's expansion was its high-profile marketing, with national advertising, featuring Patrick Allen and a helicopter. However there have been a few occasions where it has taken longer than expected especially with leaks. There is an estate bus but the service has been reduced and it no longer runs between 10.45am and 2.30pm. Lovely and friendly estate to live with parks within walking distance. This development has a low number of verified resident reviews written in the last 12 months.

Utility costs and services

It employs 3,152 people, builds more than 8,900 houses per year and has an average sale price of £343,000. The largest and most widely used flat fee real estate company in the Triangle! Carolina's Choice offers flat fee listing packages for sellers ranging from $500 for limited service packages to $1,000 for full service/full representation (+$2,500 at closing).

It also means that if someone parks outside the house opposite, getting off of your drive can be difficult. I also feel like the development as a whole would have benefited from signage onto the development and a children’s play area. No local shops, restaurants or bars as yet but development not complete and apparently there will be some in the future. The development is however very close to the town where there are ample of these facilities. The Berry Hill flyer bus service is fabulous and hope it continues.
